If you want to spice it up, feel free! I used sweet paprika powder, but you could add hot also. You could fry some mustard seed in the oil before saute-ing the onions. We also have a smoked ham concentrate in Romania as well as in Hungary, if you can get your hands on it, or want to put real smokes ham in it… that would give it an amazing flavor…
