Hello everyone! Back with another video recipe, this time it is for a traditional Hungarian Smokey Bean Soup! This rustic dish has been a favourite of mine for as long as I can remember. It is very simple to make, however it is a bit time consuming unless you are using canned beans.
Ingredients:
2 cups of dried pinto beans (soaked in warm water for 3-4 hours)
2-3 smoked pork hocks
1 cup of diced bacon
1 medium onion
10 cloves of garlic
2 bay leaves
1 bunch of parsley
1 medium of 1/2 large celery root
5-6 carrots
Sea or kosher salt to taste
Hungarian sweet paprika
Smoked paprika (optional)
1 cup of plain white flour
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
