Slow Cooker Hungarian Beef Goulash

SLOW COOKER HUNGARIAN BEEF GOULASH

INGREDIENTS- SERVES 4

100ml boiled water
1 beef stock cube
1 tbsp marmite
2 tbsp tomato puree
700g diced beef (braising steak)
1x onion
25g plain flour
2 tsp hot Paprika
2 tsp Paprika
400g chopped tomatoes
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
Cracked salt & pepper

METHOD

Pour the boiled water into small jug, add stock cube, marmite & tomato puree & stir until dissolved, then set aside

Trim and hard fat from the beef. Season with salt & pepper & pop into slow cooker. Peel & chop onion & add to beef.

Then add the flour, both Paprikas and toss together well.

Next add chopped tomatoes and stock mix. Stir well

Deseed the peppers & cut into long slices. Scatter onto of the meat (do not mix)

Cook on hight for 4-5 hours or low for 7-9 hours.

Serve with rice or simply in a bowl with a dollop of creme fresh & fresh chives
