Hey y’all! Welcome. So excited to share this recipe today. It is actually a maximum weight loss recipe and plain delicious. It could be modified and use a creamier addition besides the cauliflower puree like soy milk + flour to make it a bit richer but this is excellent as is!

This recipe makes a great side dish, main meal, take along for a party or holiday. I really hope you try this recipe and enjoy!

Recipe

SEASONING:
1-2 Tbsp. of sausage seasoning OR

Make a SOS Free Version:

1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of black pepper
3 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of smoked paprika ( optional if you do not have add this to the regular paprika to make 3.5 tsp)
1 tsp of red pepper flakes, or more to taste (also optional)
1.5 tsp of sage

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups of steamed rice
2 onions, diced
1 bell pepper
6 large portabella mushroom caps ( about the size of your palm), de-stemmed and diced
-note (if you can not find the large ones use about (3)-8 oz packages of the baby bellas)
1 cup of cauliflower, steamed
1/2 cup of veggie broth or water ( the broth gives a little more flavor)

DIRECTIONS:

Add the bell pepper and onion to a non-stick skillet and water saute. Also add in all the spices at this point. Then add in the mushrooms and cook the mixture until they are tender and all the water has cooked out of the mushrooms.

Add in the steamed rice. ( I did 1 cup before baking but you can add both cups here if you like or you can wait and add the 2nd cup after like I did in the video).

Mix well.

Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. I love to add additional pepper flakes to mine after fixing my plate. Pairs well with greens of any kind. Like broccoli, salads, or even cooked greens.
