Hey guys! Welcome to my kitchen! Today we’ll be making a super quick, easy and flavorful garlic and lemon shrimp. Recipe is listed below:
Ingredients:
1 lb jumbo sized shrimp, with the tail left on
½ tsp each: smoked paprika, onion powder, sazon, crushed red chili flakes, dried parsley flakes, black pepper, salt (to taste)
8 cloves of garlic, finely chopped or minced
½ of a fresh lemon
Olive oil
Method:
Season the shrimp with all the dry seasonings listed above. Let sit for 20 mins or so. Shrimp does not need too long to marinate.
In a saute pan, put olive oil and let it heat on low for a few before adding the minced garlic. Once you add the garlic, let it cook on low heat for 3-4 mins but do not let the garlic burn. We are just going to infuse the oil with the garlic flavors.
Add the shrimp in and let cook on one side for 3 mins, then flip them over to cook on the other side.
Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice to really brighten up and add a freshness to the dish.
Toss all the shrimp one last time in the garlic, oil, and lemon juice to coat it properly.
The garlic lemon shrimp is all done! Serve with toasted french baguette to sop up all the garlicky olive oil goodness that will be at the bottom of the plate.
