Phool Makhana/lotus seeds or fox nut recipes are extremely healthy and nutritious food especially for hormonal balance and weight loss..it’s rich in protein and fibre ..it’s also packed with many minerals and vitamins so today I will be sharing 3 very simple and easy Makhana recipes. So enjoy these Crunchy, yummy and the best tea-time snacks.
1. How to roast Makhana:-
In a pan or Kadai add 1 bowl of Makhana and roast them on very low heat…keep stirring them in between..it might take between 10-15 minutes…to check if they are roasted properly just take one Makhana in hand and crush it …if it breaks nicely with a crunching sound that means they are done.
Peri Peri Makhana
2 cups( 60 grams ) Roasted foxnuts Makhana
4 tablespoons almond slices
1 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon ghee
Homemade Peri Peri Spices
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika ( or to taste )
½ teaspoon crushed Paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
Curry Makhana
Ingredients
2 tablespoon cashews
2 tablespoon raisins
5-6 curry leaves
2 whole kashmir red chillies
3-4 slices dried coconut
2 tablespoons of ghee
2 teaspoon of brown sugar
Homemade Curry mix
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon pepper
Salt to taste
Chikki Makhana
Ingredients ‘
2 cups Fox nuts
2 tablespoon ghee
4 tablespoon of good quality jaggery
2 teaspoon brown sesame seeds
2 tablespoons peanuts
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
A pinch of salt
