Hey guys! In today’s video I will be sharing two American style Hungarian recipes with you. I grew up eating these meals and turns out after I married a 100% Hungarian man, these are Hungarian meals just Americanized LOL these were two of my favorite meals to eat growing up and they are total comfort meals for me! Recipes:
Chicken Paprikash
Ingredients:
•2 chicken breasts
•1onion
•1tbs vegetable oil
•salt
•paprika
•sea shell noodles (half box)
•1 medium container sour cream
•2 tbs flour
Directions:
•Boil chicken breasts until cooked (half hour) (save water!)
•Sauté onion in vegetable oil. Add paprika and salt
•In 4 qt pot, boil 8 cups water
•Add sea shell noodles, boil until soft
•Remove chicken from water and cut into bite-size pieces
•Drain noodles, put into large pot with water the chicken was boiled in
•Add cut chicken and onions into pot with noodles and water
•Add sour cream
•In container sour cream was in add flour and water. Shake and pour into pot
•Simmer half hour. Add salt and pepper to taste
American Goulash
Ingredients:
•1 lb ground beef
•1/2 onion
•1/2 green pepper
•1 clove garlic
•1/2 box elbow macaroni
• 1tbs vegetable oil
•1 can diced tomatoes
•1 can rotel w/ green chili’s
•paprika
•salt
•pepper
•tomato juice
Directions:
•Cook ground beef, onion, green pepper, garlic in 1 tbs vegetable oil
•Drain the grease
•Boil elbow macaroni until soft
•Add all ingredients and remaining ingredients to large pot
•Salt and pepper to taste
•Simmer 20-30 minutes
•Enjoy!
