Breaded Chicken with Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients
Breaded Chicken
400g chicken breast fillet
2 eggs
calamansi extract
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground pepper
Garlic powder
Spanish paprika
All spice
5 spice
2 cups Japanese bread crumbs
1 cup flour
Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1/4 cup honey
5 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
Slurry
1 Tbsp corn starch
1 Tbsp water
Procedure
1. Marinate the chicken with calamansi extract, salt, pepper, garlic powder, all spice, 5 spice, paprika.
2. Coat the chicken with flour, egg and bread crumbs.
3. Fry the chicken until golden brown.
4. Prepare the sauce by mixing all ingredients.
5. Simmer and add slurry.
6. Top the the sauce with sesame seeds.
